The Nagaland Legislative Assembly issued a Memorandum stating that under Rule 8 (1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly has scheduled 26th February, 2024 as the date for holding the Election of the Deputy Speaker by the Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The following are the dates and hours for filing nomination papers, withdrawal and election:
Date of filing nomination papers:19th -21st February, 2024; Time: 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Date of Scrutiny: 22nd February, 2024; from 11:00 A.M. onwards, Date of withdrawal: 23rd February, 2024; Time: 12:00 Noon to 3:00 P.M. And date of Election: 26th February, 2024.
